Also known as 'The Butler's Friend', it enables one to remove the cork without damaging it and can also be used to re-cork the bottle. One of the early designs found is from nineteenth century France with a wooden handle and steel prongs. This version is designed with a bright pewter handle and two steel prongs. The handle carries the fluted theme of the range and its fan-like shape makes it easy to grip for better control.
The extractor is kept in a pewter sheath to protect the steel prongs and this sheath is perfect for engraving.
